We are vehemently against all forms of Practice Profiling practiced by Discovery Medical Aid. All patients belonging to this scheming medical aid will unfortunately be treated as private/cash patients.
Methods to mitigate against any inconvenience caused my your scheming medical aid:
- Switch to another medical scheme that does not promote Practice Profiling based on race, ethnicity, religion, etc.
- Switch to a medical aid that does not deviate from its primary activity of patient care.
- Switch to medical aid that does not have vested interests in other avenues like banking, insurance, etc.
- Potential medical aids to join: Profmed, Bonitas, Momentum, Fedhealth, GEMS.
- Do not join: Discovery and schemes administered by them.
- Whilst patients are moving to another optimal plan, we will continue to consult and treat them and support them during their move.
